Day 14 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

Fishing Floats and Nets 2

I really love the three primary triad colors I used to create the background in the last four days.  It made the floats and ropes really stand out.  Yupo is such a great surface to lift out your whites and the colors stay vibrant since they sit on the surface.  This one will definitely be part of my series on Fishing Nets.

    This is just great! A little abstract to make it interesting. It does lend it self to being part of a series. Good job. Half way! Almost.

      Thanks Annmarie. They look a little dark when they are thumbnails but the yellow ochre is really shining through. I need to do one more 12x36 before I have enough pieces since I sold one. These little ones are great inspiration. I have always painted realistically and so this is a step towards abstract for me. Good luck -- we will all make it to 30!
